I personally would not touch it.
Let me just pass on a story about my 80 year old neighbor's 1997 Ford SHO with 154,000 miles on it. He has babied it since day one, garage kept, and it looks like it has 50k miles on it, not 150k miles. We just picked up a '99 SHO with just 40,000 miles on it. Obviously he loves SHO's. The difference in handling, peppiness, EVERY ASPECT of the car was day and night. The 'new' '99 SHO felt like a new car in comparison. His old SHO, no matter how perfectly maintained, was showing it's fatigue in every area.
High miles affect everything. I wouldn't recommend it to my family or close friends so I'll pass on the same advice to you.

I agree. $2500-3000 sounds more reasonable for the mileage and apparent original drivetrain. The fact it's a WS6 means very little at this point due to mileage, other than the parts value of the hood. No collector value at all in an example like this at only 17 years old (and it appears that the hood is the only original item still left from the WS6 package - even the badge appears to have been modified/replaced.)

Somewhere along the line you'd think someone rebuilt the drive train. Depending on how it felt and ran, I'd be happy to fork over $3K for an M6 WS6 that could be my all weather back up beater. Should be worth more than $3K just in parts. It looks to have clean body panels, ttops, seats, dash, door panels, etc. It all adds up.

One of the areas many people neglect to maintain on a car is the suspension, namely the bushings in the control arms, ball joints, tie rods etc. This is what affects the ride and the handling in a dramatic way.
The LS1 can go a long way if it is maintained and a large duration camshaft was not added. If it is, then the valvetrain has to be modified to suit, especially the rockers, springs and pushrods.
At that mileage expect to replace a lot of components to keep it on the road.

they probily paid $1000.-1200. it would cost them to resell it,they wouldn"t get much more at auction. under$2000. would be a sweet buy from that, looks nice.I would hope they treat their employees better than that.
