Thumbs down 1995 Firebird with a ls2

What's a 1995 firebird with an ls2 worth? Supposently the firebird hasnt seen the winter. And the ls2 only has 500 kilometers on it he says Cam kit compcam intake and throttle body 101 mm injector ls7 computer megasquirt transmission 4l60. I called him up he said it needs a tune what do you think it's worth in the condition it's in.

What's the mileage and condition? What's been done to it besides motor? Is the trans rebuilt or just a swap of another old trans? Any defects in paint, interior, dash, dents, dings, etc?

he said transmission modified body has 175,000 kilometers. I haven't seen the car yet so I couldn't say but I'm sure they're are some dents and scratches. He doesnt really respond very well when I ask him questions.

I've always been skeptical of anyone selling anything that needs minor or small work needed to it. ESPECIALLY when they're dropping big bucks on motors/transmission etc. Like ok you're into it for 11k but somehow $400 for a tune is unacceptable.

The car is worth next to nothing as a standalone so I would say pretty much the value if you had to part out. I would say maybe $5,000 to $7,000 depending on the quality of the parts. This being said someone did suggest it was potentially not an LS2 (i.e. assuming they meant it was a cast iron block although not sure how they could tell otherwise I do see cathedral port heads). This being said it sounds like a potential mess to get into. Unless it really floats your fancy I would look for something else. There are so many LS cars out there today at decent prices no reason to take a chance.
