30th anniversary wheels worth? Hey everyone, im new here. I'm just curious as to what a set of 30th anniversary trans am wheels would be worth if i were to try selling them. i bought a 2002 ws6 and it has them on it. I'd like to sell them and get some weld rts. any help on that would be appreciated. Another question, for a stock trans am what size of weld rts will fit? I've researched and found tons of different info, never anything fully reliable.
Seems like the only market would be folks with 99 Trans Am 30th Anniversary Edition cars.
The wheels on 30th's are NOT anodized, they are high polish aluminum with a clear blue paint on then and a clear coat over top. This resulted in much variation in the color of the painted wheels. I've read that groups of 4 wheels were painted together and stay with their car at the factory because only the wheels painted at the same time would match.
I've read new wheels sold for $355 each.
Getting them all repainted, about $135 each wheel.
The stock 99 WS6 chrome wheels could be refinished and painted as 30th wheels if needed.
Seems like the value would be about $500 to $600 for the set of 4 if they are in good condition. The owner could have the cars original wheels refinished for about that cost.
You might get more if someone really needed them and didn't want to deal with getting theirs refinished.
Most non 30th Anniversary owners like me would have little value for them except for resell. I would pay be hesitant to $100 for the set of 4 because I think finding a buyer could be difficult.
Somewhere like Hawk's Motorsports might value them highly or be able to set a better estimated valve than me.
