Default 1979 2dr chevy malibu

looking at picking one up local to me, dude is asking 2500

looks to be almost no real rust, some surface bubbles, interior pretty clean, non running "hot" sbc of unknowable provenance with $100 long tubes

lost title bullshit, seems sketchy---never dealt with that before but my bros say it's no biggie

it's also dookie brown with a tan interior

whats that go for in your neck of the woods?

The lost title would deter me personally, but clean malibu's seem to bring good money around here when you can find them, 5k ish.

yeah I need to do more research on lost title stuff. never dealt with that. hate to buy something unregisterable and have to part it out, or worse buying something stolen

so the car is 99% rust free. some bubbles but no holes. factory hard top( no vinyl). interior is like 3/10 has some really funny looking american racing wheels from when everybody was up on foose's ******* and the shittiest mismatched, bald, dry rotted tires ive ever seen hold air

dmv says the car has no leins, one owner. I have his number and if he's down to meet and sign it over, it's gonna be mine.

trying not get all blown up about it. I'll be excited when the title is in my hand and the car is in my garage.

Sounds like a good builder and the price is right, G body's are easy to work on and modify, lots of room up front and underneath. mustang 8.8 or a body 12 bolts are pretty much bolt in with correct control arms. Excited to see it and what you do with it if you get it.

:C dude just couldnt get in touch with PO to sign the lost title papers.

If I can't get a title I can only really offer him scrap value, but I dont wanna **** him off.

Oh well I'll get one someday
