New 4.8 short block value

New 4.8 short block value Hi,
I have a brand new short block that came from GM back in 2003. Zero miles on it and never been in a vehicle. Was saving it for a conversion in one of my old rovers but I've decided to sell it and go with a diesel. Trying to figure out what it's worth. Located in Sacramento.

Hi,
It's been stored in a warehouse in California the whole time with the intake ports covered.. I shined my bore scope in it and the cylinder walls look normal to me. It's not rusted if that's what you're wondering.

What's the bottom end look like? Or does the 4
8 also have an oil pan?
I'd guess ~ $400 to 600 for short block and $700 to $850 for long block with heads & oil pan. There are so many good junkyard 4.8 engines that It will probably hurt the selling price.
