LQ9 motor
LQ9 motor I have a lead on a LQ9 coming out for a Chevy Express Van and it has 300k miles lol. Cam bearings need replaced but everything else was good coming out and I'm viewing this as its just a good block. My goal is to disassemble it, bore it and throw it in my Z28 or find a nice TA roller I can toss it in. What do you guys think a fair offer is? My moms cousin is the one who is trying to off it and he keeps saying, "just offer me what you think its worth"...I wanna just be like $100 and I'll get it this weekend but I don't want to come off as an *******, if that makes any sense.
offered 100 bucks he said come get it, so picking it up this weekend. Going to fire up a thread for the tear down and build up. I think we will bore to 408 cubes 4in stroke, h beam rods forged pistons. Not sure on Cam and heads but thinking LS3 heads at least ported, nothing crazy. shooting for 530-550 HP with ability to boost down the road.
