My T/A is 'good' and I have it insured for $16,500 currently. Next time the policy renews i will up it to $18,000.
If I may share a recent experience with the 2007 GT/CS 'vert I just sold. Earlier this year KBB valued my 'good' car for $8,700 or so as a 'trade-in'. I knew I could get $12k minimum so I figured a private sale would be necessary. Before we left for Wisconsin to get our current GT, I tried KBB again and the 'trade-in' value increased dramatically to $13,000. I'm sure I punched in all the correct criteria each time. The dealership gave us that $$$. Of course I paid high for their car too but it was priced right in these times. I was seeing much higher mileage cars with multiple owners selling for the same price. It was a wonderful transaction for us. Used car prices are changing rapidly as we type..It's really tough to correctly gauge pricing, so any guide can be helpful as a tool in purchasing, whether it be Hagerty of KBB. I even noticed Carfax estimating prices now as fair or good or whatever..
One other note - I actually received a call from Hagerty when I sold my '74 AMC Matador X in 2016 asking if I would share my selling price for their estimations. I told them and they wished me well and to come back when I bought another 'collector' car. Now I have my Trans Am with them.

Here we are at the Ford dealership in Wisconsin saying bye to our old '07 and hello to the '14.
Would like to see Hagerty #5 Needs Restoration & #6 Parts Car prices..lol
Snap shot from Carguru's today...mileage over ~40,000 and under 125,000 similar prices...

I've not seen many cars selling at high prices as of late. Anyone else? List and ask are not what they sell for now, unfortunately, people have missed that boat. And those who have the money will spend $25k on a 15k mile car before they spend $18k on a 118k mile version. I know I would. When I was shopping for my last performance car no way did I want one with high miles and by that I mean over 20k. Didn't care how nice it was or well taken care of. I probably could have saved the cost of a nice 4th gen but I wanted low miles, and of course, excellent condition.
I'd rather be into my 02 Z28 for $4,500 in 2018 w/239,000 miles than any of the three cars I posted. Heck I'd buy my 02 z28 w/263,000 miles now for $7,000 than either of those three 😆 🤣 😂 😹
Although I think these numbers WAY inflated. Probably a #2 with 30K miles but even if I insure it at #4 it may be too high.
