Is this a good deal??????
I recently responded to an add for a 68 camaro, here are the details.
68 Camaro SS
396 BB Car (no longer with the car)
4 spd manual (no longer with the car)
12 bolt ( now has 10 bolt from s-10??)
here are the pics, I can get the car for $2500.
I do custom upholstery so the interior is not a problem, I have a 427 sitting at home for a project nova that I would throw in it, but I do not do body work. How deep would I be getting with this??? there are a few small holes on the roof by the a pillars, and a decent amount of bondo, needs a new rocker on the driver side and a few floor pans.
Please let me know what you think

for $2500, you stole that car, someone should call the cops, seriously that's a $4K-$6K car to some people...it'll make a good project, but you'll have some money in it if you want it to be nice and stay that way.

DUDE, buy that f-ing car !!!!!! if you aren't going to, tell me where it is and i will come pick it up tomorrow afternoon, and i am not even joking. that is a helluva deal. if you're having ANY thoughts about not buying it, then you aren't commited to the project enough to begin with. that car is an EXCELLENT starting point (from what the pics show).

it is actually not to rusty, the trunk is perfect, it needs the front floor pans replaced, the quarters are full of mud, needs a new rocker.
it was a vinyl top car, that is why the roof is rotted so bad and that is my main concern.
but it IS a SS Big block 4spd car.
and also I can now get the car for $2000.

It's not as bad as I was thinking when you were talking to me about it. I would go ahead and do it. No one says it has to be done RIGHT away so work on it as money allows and then you can sell me more parts off your WS6.

It's alright. 1st gens are getting pricey, but this thing is far from a solid roller.
It will need serious body panel replacement.
If you have some body work experience and have some connections on body panels, go for it.
