Default Opinions: Black TA with Black powdercoat wheels?

Anyone have pictures of that combo? Trying to decide what wheels I want to put on my Black 99 TA. Opinions welcome, pics would be great (appearance is a matter of taste after all, and I haven't been able to find any black/black pics) The specific wheels I'm looking at are the Grand Sport replicas from AFS, with the polished lip.

Hrm, I think this may be a bit much having a black/black
combo. I'd much rather see some shiny chrome on a black car
to give a little contrast.

I really only like black wheels on a pewter or silver car and the wheels must at least have a polished lip. Black cars look good with polished or chrome wheels.

Being a bit too much is my worry as well. That's why I'd like to see pics of one, but if there aren't any, then I guess that says something as well. I'll go the polished route then.

Its a couple of cars running around here in houston with a set up like that. Looks bad *** IMO. If you can/want to get em, go right ahead. If you go to gm high tech's web site you can look around and find pics of a black LT1 with grand sports on them. It looks sweet.

The novelty of black wheels wear off quickly in my opinion.

There was a T/A in GMHTP last year I think that had black rims and was a black car. Looked mean as hell! Ran like a bat out o' hell, too.

I have a black Z28 and am looking for black wheels as well. My reasoning is that the race compound brake pads I use have "embedded" the dust into my stock silver wheels (and I want to go to 17") and I don't think they will come clean, ever. So, I want to do 17" rims and they have to be black or "brake dust color" (Z06 rim color). I'm open to suggestions as well (I'm not in it for looks....).

I had the rims on my Yellow VTR1000 powder coated a dark grey metallic (similar to the Mustang dark grey metallic). I thought the color looked great but the guy doing it forgot (*******) to prep them properly and I didn't have time for him to re-order that color so he redid them in medium silver metallic. I wish I could have waited on the dark grey because they looked great on the rims.

No need to pull the pics. Maybe someone else will see this thread now and the pics would be of help to them.
