Default Nitto vs. BFG... and more "?"s

Okay I got some 17x11 and 17x9.5 rims coming in and was curious for a DD and a fun street racing car which tire would you say is best the Nitto 555R or the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radial 2?

Also since im moving from a 17x9 to a 17x9.5 tire in the front is there a certain tire i should get that works well with the tires in the back or does it matter?

Honestly, the BFGs will hook a lot better than the Nittos but since you DD the car I would go with the Nittos cuz BFGs are a nightmare in the rain. You'll also get more life out of the Nittos. I got 3500 miles out of my BFGs

I used to drive around on my BFGs all day in my old GT. Had over 5000+ miles on them and they were just getting down to the wear bars. They were not a nightmare in the rain at all. I NEVER had a problem in the rain/sleet/or snow. Granted everyone's experience seems to differ but they were fine for me. High 1.6-.7flat in a bone stock suspension/drivetrain 02 GT.

Honestly either get the BFGs or get regular street tires and some spare rims with MTs. No point of rolling around with DRs unless you make 500+ rwhp and plan on racing from digs on the street. Nittos are so ******* useless they are a giant waste of money.

I can only speak from my experience with them. I have run the 555 Extremes and DRs, both 285/35/18. Maybe because they were 18's, they sucked, both the extremes and DR's. I currently run Summitt stars with MT ET Streets on the rear(275/50/15) and MT sportsmans up front.. I'll never go back, I don't care if I go through 2 sets of rears a year. Nitto's = no traction all over the road if I hit the go pedal. MT's hook and book!!! Hopefully someone running on a 16 or 17" rim will chime in for ya..

Nittos are a waste of money for someone looking to get a DR. Yes they hook better than street tires and people have cut good 60's on them, but for the money(same as any other DR) they offer a lot less performance. If you're getting DRs you should be all about getting the most out of your car, with the Nittos you'll walk away pissed that you spent 300+ dollars on 2 tires just to cut a 1.9x 60'

Hm, thanks for the input!

What do you think I should run on a 16x10 rim size wise?

And what kind of tire should I run up front

325/50 sounds fine. Some might say a bit too wide for the rim but it's fine. I had 275/60s on a 8" lol. For the front not sure go with something cheaper like a 245/45.

well now your making me rethink my order for the 17x11... the only reason i was getting them was for the 315 tire... i might as well go 17x9.5 all around if the traction isnt that much better... I am at stock power at the moment and don't plan on adding more power for a very long time considering the car has 11k miles on it... I just want something that looks real nice so i guess ill just get 17x9.5 all around and stagger them and be done with it... I have fun with stock power... I know i want more but for now i'm holding myself back.
