Those are some nice wheels man. I had been leaning towards Cragar 230 series SS rims, but those sure are close. I wonder if they are any cheaper???

I love those wheels. I just have problems keeping the water out of the dish and getting the water spots off the front. Could you tell me what you use to clean yours?

Not a price war...Im just that damn good Anyway, there is a new product (I dont sell it yet) called Zoop seal which is AMAZING on polished rims. It protects the polish for up to two years. Its about $130 a bottle. Yes, the Smoothies are cheaper than the Cragars.

Those Smoothie 2's are so cool that I had to get a set for my red '99 Camaro SS.
I got them from my local Discount Tire. My stock wheels: 17 x 9 with 275/40zr/17 tires. The closest ones to my stock size SS rims were the 17" x 8" (they don't make 17 x 9 Smoothie 2's). The 17 x 10 would not fit the front and I wanted to keep all 4 the same so I could rotate. I didn't like the funny "pulled in" look with the 17x8's and I got a little tire sway during hard cornering. Not acceptable. So I was able to take them back and order up a set of 18 x 9's. I had to buy all new tires. The manager at my Discount Tire was cool enough to bend over backward to make me happy. I got a killer deal and I am very happy that I stepped up to the 18 x 9 Smoothie 2's. Now the fun part, polishing them!

Why wouldn't the 17x10's fit? I have 17x10's all around (BC Smoothie II's) with no problems.

When I was ordering my wheels, my friend the manager at Discount Tire got on the phone with the Discount Tire direct warehouse where he orderes them and the guy there looked them up to see if the 10" wide would fit the front of my '99 SS, and he said no. That is why I didn't order 10" wide for the front. I didn't question it, I just figured he knew best. I would like to know what you end up with.

Okay I will post before and after pics of my car soon as the new wheels come in. I phoned in my order to DTD for a set of 17x10 Smoothie II's with 275-40zr17 tires on all four I was going to get the Falken tires but the sales rep gave me a killer deal on Kumho 712's plus he said I should have them in about three days because everything was in stock.
I also bought the ride simulation balancing they offer for $10 per wheel.
