Default Which finish will last longer?

I have chrome zr-1's right now & they are peeling on the inside of the wheel & starting to peel in the corners also. They are only 3 years old. I should have never got chrome!
I might have to buy rims again.

I like the zr-1's. Which finish will last longer?
Painted or polished aluminum?
Im thinking polished aluminum. What expierences have you guys had with painted or polished?

If they're truely polished aluminum then that is the best as you can repolish yourself and even do minor repair work (if you have the time) to work out curb rash and small nicks.
