I bought my 2002 Z with 20k on it. After having it a while I noticed the stock chrome wheels had spots on them where the chrome was coming off and bubbling up. It bothered me because the car is only 1 year old, what's it going to look like when it's 3 or 4 years old? The spots were pretty small, but all four wheels were doing it in probably 5 spots per wheel. I took it to the dealer expecting them to tell me it was normal for the wheels to look like that. I asked one of the people working in the service to come out and look at the wheels. She took one look at the wheels and said yah, you're right, that looks like crap. She ordered me 4 brand new chrome wheels on the spot. Went and had them put on the car today, looks great. Sorta like an added bonus, I told them use the tape weights that stick to the inside of the wheel when they balanced instead of the normal hammer on weights that screw up the chrome underneath them. Just thought I'd share my little warranty experience.

I was pretty impressed. A friend of mine has a 2000 T/A with chrome wheels that did the same thing and he had to fight with his dealer for over a year to get his wheels replaced.
