Default Any Winter Drivers???

For anyone that drives their car in the snow what size snow tires are you guys running? I'm gonna be forced to drive mine for a few weeks until I fix my winter car I got caught tonight in some snow and it was a complete nightmare!! I'm thinkin about some studded tires and just wanted some opinions. Thanks guys.

I don't drive my car in the snow(and I understand why you are being forced to) but on all my winter cars I just run good all seasons.. Are studded tires legal in NY? Used to be here in MI but not for quite some time now..

We can run the studs from Oct. or Nov till April then they gotta come off. I got a set of Brand new Blizzaks off my Mom's Malibu that she traded in but they're 215-60-16"s. I'm not too sure that they'll mount up on the stock wheels? These cars are scary in the snow!! Had to drive home from work tonight and it was a white knuckle ride the whole way!!

Im running my 19s right now, but I think im going to pull the old 17s out of storage this weekend. I havn't had any major problems yet. Starting in 2nd gear helps alot in a m6.

I'm glad I don't have to deal with the snow.

Joker, what size tires did your car originally have? The 245/50/16 are roughly 25.7" OD and if it came with the standard 235/55/16s, they were a bit taller. The 215/60 Blizzaks you mention are just a bit taller than the 245s, a little closer to the 235/55s, but either way, probably close enough that the computer won't act funky on you. The best thing is you already have the Blizzaks on hand, the price is probably "right", and it's snowing TODAY, so GET THEM ON before something bad happens!!

The Blizzaks will fit the rims without any problem....
