Eh, not diggin' them. But, it's hard to say right now. I'll wait for pictures that are taken outside to make my full opinion. But, something about the rear wheel looks off in that picture. But, I honestly don't like a large lip on wheels. So, maybe that's why.

Obviously, IMO.
You might just be alone on that thought. Deep lips (larger than 2") are found on several high end cars. Most BMW and Mercedes large bodies, Lambo Murcielago, Porsche, etc...

I mean really, 2" lip is like kissing a girl with no lips.

Well, I've just grown tired of the lip on every wheel out there. Mainly this goes towards the Ruff style wheels, because there is no need for a large lip on those wheels.....they're only 9.5" wide. If the wheel was say, 11 or 12" wide, then I see the point to the lip.

I guess what I'm saying, is if there is a point to the lip, then ok...but normally there isn't. It's basically like the TTIIs, everyone and their mom has them, and it's one of two reasons I want to dump my TTIIs.

Are they color matched or just charcoal? Not likeing the painted lip... polished lip would look better IMO, but hey it's not my car. Love the '08 hood on the Viper.

Everyone and their mom has Y2K, Z06, ZR1, etc.. wheels too. Those OEM style wheels have no lip. I find it strange someone would dislike something simple like a wheel lip, just because most custom wheels have a lip?

If you are building a car from the ground up, choosing a narrower rear axle and deep offset lip actually increases performance. They aren't always about appearance only. Think of it this way, a wheel of any given width weighs exactly the same regardless if it has a 1" lip or a 6" lip. But, when you narrow the rear axle you save weight on axle ends being a few inches shorter, the internal axles being shorter. That reduction in axle width also reduces rotating mass. Also, moving the face of the wheel towards the middle of the wheel increases rigidity of the wheel from an engineering standpoint. It balances the stiffness of the outer hoop on both sides of the wheel.

They are color matched cyber gray metallic. Just came out a little darker than the car is. My factory wheels are all gray, wanted to keep that theme. I didn't want bling on the car really, just subtle and stealthy looking. Polished lips would definitely stand out more, but that wasn't my goal with the car.

No rain today, but very cloudy and dismal looking. This color looks much better in sunlight, hardly any metallic shows up on a cloudy day. I'll wait till it is sunny to do a full photo shoot. Here is a pair of pics from today:

I couldn't agree more. I can't stand cars that have wheels without a decent sized lip.
