Good choice of rims. Painted rims belong on cars like these, chrome is for old schools with chrome bumpers and accents. I like your tint too, I like lighter ones. makes cars looks more classy.

If you are building a car from the ground up, choosing a narrower rear axle and deep offset lip actually increases performance. They aren't always about appearance only. Think of it this way, a wheel of any given width weighs exactly the same regardless if it has a 1" lip or a 6" lip. But, when you narrow the rear axle you save weight on axle ends being a few inches shorter, the internal axles being shorter. That reduction in axle width also reduces rotating mass. Also, moving the face of the wheel towards the middle of the wheel increases rigidity of the wheel from an engineering standpoint. It balances the stiffness of the outer hoop on both sides of the wheel.

Tech tip of the day
Excellent point Tony. Not only do deep dish wheels look aggressive, they are performance minded as well.
Car looks AWESOME!!

Man that thing is bad. I think it would look even more G if the wheels where all powder coated like the factory ones, but it looks great either way.

Let me know when you are ready for those GMmexican, I'm a dealer for HRE and other brands.

Just wondering what % tint do you have on your Z06?
It is just legal tint for the state of TX. The rear window is dark, I believe 5%. Sides are 25%
