Default Nitto 555r IIs

I recently got these tires for my TA. Anyone out there tried these and like them? These are my first set of nitto tires.

Yea i figured I should get them considering I drive my TA everyday. I know it has stiffer sidewalls but do they hook as good as the original 555r?

I doubt they'll hook as well as the original 555r on a launch. The 555R II was built for autocross. They'll hook better in corners though.

555RII's are road race tires , lemme just tell you there is no other tire that'll hang with it , Your brakes will fade before these tires heat to the point of loss of traction , They are killer tires --- Problem is they are not a rain tire , so if this a daily driver , be careful

True...true. I was thinking of having a tire that let me hook better than street tires but I haven't been to the track yet. Something that will give me decent mileage before I have to change tires again. MT's don't last long but they hook like nobody's business. So I figure the 555rII would be the best thing for my case.

Those are nice tires, my brother uses them on his C5 Vette on the street, Autox and track days...good for all those events, not so good to drag race in comparison to the Rs but better than high performance street tires.

Well I had ordered some 555r's before I got the 555rII's. So I'm waiting on the drag radials. I guess I can wait to put on the drags when it's time to change tires.
