Default smallest possible tire to run?

i have a 9.5 in rim in the front and want to run the smallest tire i can on it. I was thinking its going too be like a 225/40/17? Currently i run a 245/40/17 BFG sport in the front and a 275/40/17 Nitto DR in the rear. Im changing the rears to a 295/45/17 Mickey ET Radial II and i love the look of small street tires in the front. Narrow small profile, but not a true sksinny in the front, plus my dad wont let me run a 4in wide rim in the front anyway and he pays for 1/2 the bills which makes it o i hae to listen to him. So whats everything think, like a 225 nitto 555 or 225 BFG KDW?

i would just stick with the current size. the 225 would look stupid and you'd have alot of exposed rim. but its your car do what you want.

you can probably stretch a 225 on it, but for safety and appearance stick with a 245. Your never gonna get the look you want with a 9.5" rim anyway.

Stop recommending a tire that is too small . . . a 225/50R17 requires a 8" minumum width wheel . . . .
