Default Nitto 555rs

Alright, so im lookin for a stout tire too put on the back of my car cause im getting ready to put my SS4000 stall in the car and i was on jegs lookin at tires and all i could find in the Nittos that was close tomy size was 285/35/18s. Im runnin Z06 wheels that are 9.5" wide. Would these tires fit my car? Any other drag radial in this size?

sup man..how have you been? anyway anything from a 265-285 will fit a 9.5 inch rim without a problem. So you could also get the bfg drag radials 275/35/18 or even the mt dr's 265/40/18 but the mt's will sit higher and may throw off your speedo a little bit. I plan on getting the nittos myself because of all the dr's they are supposed to last the longest

ok fellas, help me out here, did some more reasearch and this is what i came up with that i like. I like the Nitto NT-01s, they just have a different look to them, but i dont know how well they work, now another question i had, was this particular tire comes in two different sizes for me, 275/35/18 and 275/40/18. I was thinking that the 40s would be better than the 35s because of the sidewall, but im unclear. Also, in 275/35/18 was BFG g-force T/A DRs. I like these tires as well, but not sure how they stack up compared to the Nittos, so you guys help me out.

Go look on the Nitto web site at the new tire coming out in February...NT05.
Treadwear is 200, might be good tire for all around? I did a google search on the NT05 and it seems most discussions have been in the Vette forums. Anyway, the thread pattern looks nice, and seems to be between the 555DR and the invo??

I just installed the 555Rs and I'm happy. They look great... and little to no wheelspin. I've launched about 6 times and I've never had as good launches.

Go with the Nitto 555r's. The NT01 are a road race tire, and have a stiffer sidewall for cornering, not too drag friendly. I was very happy with my 275's on my 17x9 ZR1's. They convinced me to put in an order for 315's, for my 17x11 ZR1's. Should be here tomorrow. They hook real well, and are the longest lasting DR out there. I've put around 8-9k, not so easy miles, on mine, and they still have a decent amount of life left in them.

well the stiffer sidewall would be ok, because i would be driving on the street with these. I already have a set of mickeys for the track. I just want a knarley set of tires to run on the street cause i wont be hooking well on the street with street tires.

sounds good man..i will hit you up one day. Any idea of what h/c you are going with? Just like you i am looking for a decent tire for the street but i think i will try the nitto dr's. I know a few people that have ran them and they seem to hook good and last a decent amount of time
