not really a smart idea...(if you should get in anything involving a cop...you get a fine for improper tires)just get some rims with the slicks....ask any of our sponsors------->
a bunch of them carry some type of rims/slicks
then just change them at the track...takes like 5 minutes to do it...just get a good jack...and a 4way iron(easier to spin it)...

People do drive to the track with ET Streets around here. Just don't get caught out in the rain. 26X10.5x16, I think. Someone else back me up here.

That's what I thought, I think they would be fine to drive on, but you are probably better off just getting slicks like the others said and change them at the track.

Lots of guys drive around on them. If it starts raining, PULL OVER. Keep your speed down on them too.

26x10.5x16 thats what I have on stock rims.
I change them at the track for a couple of reasons
1- Rain (They are a death trap)
2- Cops and snotty attitudes
3- Wear on the ET's and those suckers aren't cheap.

you wont get a ticket with et streets, and if you do it wont hold up if you protest it. they are rated a street legal tire for a reason. us a 26x10 et street. highly sugest having 12-bolt and aftermaket clutch if you dont have one already.

As long as yiu don't get caught in the rain, your fine. I drive on my MT ET STREETS for weeks at a time with no problem. They are street legal tires that are approved by the Department of transportation (DOT approved). Make sure that you keep them at about 22-27 PSI around town.
goood luck.

I've thought about driving around on these. Keeping them at a higher pressure around town will net what kind of tread life? Will they last several thousand miles of daily driving plus several strip passes? How do they compare life-wise to the Bf Goodrich Drag Radials that I'm using now? Thanks

look if you wanna hook on the street get nittos dr's and take the ets to the strip with a jack on spare rims.... why eat up expencive tires on the street you only gonna get 2-3000 miles driven around....you must be loaded!
it takes 10 mins to swap tires and alot of ppl sell spare 16's for $80 or less

My car is not daily driven. 3k miles is a year. If these really will last 3k miles, its something I'd like to consider.
