Default switch from TT2s to Y2k deep dishs???

I'm debating getting a set of the new C5 Y2K deep dish wheels, help me out.

Basically I have someone that wants to buy my TT2s for a decent price, only problem is I like em. I've been wanting to get a set of 11s for the back, but then I'd have to paint them and they'd probably wouldn't match color. So I've thought about selling my current ones, buying new ones and then painting the new ones so that they're in show shape and the colors on the set matches perfectly.

Well I've also wanted 18s, so I've thought about getting a set of 18" TT2s. Well those are expensive, ha. So my final though it to sell my current setup and buy a set of the deep dish Y2k wheels. However I'm wanting 18" wheels all the way around. Whether it be 18x8.5" or 18x9" in the front and then 18x10.5" in the back. They will be polished. Then I'll need tires too.

Here's how the car sits now:

So the choices:

1.) keep TT2s, get 11s (perhaps get new TT2s and repaint all)

2.) 18" TT2s

3.) 18" Y2ks

The car is now strickly a weekend toy and show car, finally got myself a DD!

Comments/suggestions. Thanks!

Hope you already know they don't make a front 18" deep Y2K wheel. It's either staggered 17 front 18 rear or 17's all around.

I'm going to contact OE wheels and see what they offer in the single spoke design as well.

Keep the TT2 and get 17x11.
And how about painting or powdercoat them white.
Went to a car show and saw this. Some will like some wont.
But I think the rims would look sweet on your ride.

As of now it's a toss up between the C6 Z06 deep dish wheels I posted a few before this or new polished TT2s with 11s out back, since the person I'm selling my wheels to lives and drives the same roads I frequent daily I'd rather have something different though.......

I'd do new ttII's 17x11 rear for sure. Your rims look so amazing, i'd even paint them or pc them charcoal to match. You ever thought about 18's in the rear and keep the 17 front?

Leave the ones you have or at least stick with the TT2's in some size. Your car looks very muscular and some chrome Z06s or Y2Ks would change it for the worse, imo.

Well like I said, I've actually got something in the works, however...TT2s will no longer be on the car. I'm pretty sure it'll be for the better IMO. I can't wait.

Unfortunately my friend they're already sold. Going to a chick with a white TA and a gunmetal anniversary stripe. They should look real good on her car.

If it falls through with her I'll let you know.

I was faced with this dilemma, but I decided to just run the 18x10.5 up front and it worked out great for me. I know that others might avoid this route because of the cost of tires/weight, but it's just another option im throwing out there.

A 295 on the 18x10.5 would fit the front perfectly, with no, or very little modification required
