Tell me , how do these tires ride ? Cornering ability ? Or are these for just str8 line traction and scaring the ricers ?

So I finally got to test them. I made 3 track passes with them. They heat up really quick and smoked nicely within 3 seconds. FIRST PASS I did almost a full clutch drop at 4000 rpms and they didn't spin once. Second gear caught and hooked. SECOND PASS I did a full 4200rpm clutch drop and it bit and spun just enough to pull the car and would of made a better run . Then my alternator stopped charging midway through the track and I missed the last gear because the tach was so far off. The last pass made the same launch but couldn't finish the pull.
Cornering at low speeds doesn't slide and seems to bite more than the Nitto 555r's and the tires don't wonder on the highway like the Nitto's.
Rain, They hook as good as the Nitto's couldn't tell a difference. Biggest difference is cornering and highway speeds.

Those look great on the SS and I think I'll have to get those tires when I get my 11" rears.
The TA on the other hand......sorry but I think it looks like ***, how far do those stick out past the fender. Sorry, but I just don't care for that

Do you think you could snap a pic from the top of the fender looking down at the tire? It doesn't look like they stick out at all, but if I were to get wheels with a 500 offset they would stick out farther than the 36s right?
The car looks badass with those tires though, and the price is hard to beat. Still like the tires though?

It was asked, but not answered before.. These were designed for autocross, street tire classes.. So they must heat up fast and be sticky.
Don't plan on 15k miles out of them though.

They heated up at the track in about 2-3 seconds with lots of white smoke. I had my Nitto 555R's for over 15k and had about 30% life left. I don't have a performance alignment and I keep the reccomended air pressure in the tires... also have new shocks and springs complicates of Sam. I think once you start to get "crazy" with things on the street when the car doesn't need it, then you start having problems. I do 95% daily kind of spirited driving and a weekend or two at the track in the right season. I don't spin the tires or try to chirp them going into gears. One reason I don't is because they still rub a little bit in turns the other is... Most of my driving goes to the army post and back home so I guess I could race nobody to stop sign to stop sign and kill my gas or I could normally drive and get the most out the tires. I've heard people saying their Nitto DR's didn't last but 5k miles. Well I'm not sure what they were doing to make them not last long but I got over 15k out of mine with some to spare. I respect your opinion about them not lasting but that's how rumors on the board get started about how long parts or tires in this matter last. It all depends on how you care for them.

True - and you put it better than I could have.. I got 10k from a set of tires with a 420 treadwear rating.. but I tend to beat the tires like they owe me money..
