Is there a conversion table or formula to get the measurements?

I'm kinda new to tires, so school me. I was planning on going with the MT Sportsman front. Then I saw the MT Sportsman S/R front. Then, I saw the post about if you want a radial go with the SR, if not then get the regular sportsman. So for the street, would the SR be the better choice? Tell me the difference, besides the price.

You answered your own question man. The difference is that the S/R is a Radial and the plain Sportsman is a bias ply tire. The S/R will match the tread pattern of the MT Drag Radial (the original one, not the II), whereas the Sportsman is just a plain design and is a bias ply.

You need to decide on what you want to run, bias ply or radial. I went Bias Ply because I wanted a ET Street on the rear and you do not want to mix Bias Ply and Radial tires together. Also, I do not drive a lot on these tires. They are basically going to be my race tires strictly. Yeah, they will handle short trips and some cruising around, but I wouldn't put them on and take a 6 hr road trip.

If you plan on running the Big/Skinny setup a lot throughout the year, then I would go with the S/R and the Street Radial. If they are gonna be a once in a while thing, then go with a ET Street and Sportsman front. But if you go that route you better have the drivetrain to handle the ET Streets.

I use Mickey Thompson Sportsmans for the front deflated to about 25 psi. They don't "search around" at that tire pressure.

I just ordered the s/r radial, it looks like a good tire with a nice pattern that will match my mt drag radials. I got the 26x6 15 for my skinnes, that are a 15x4 rim.
