So with my budget I've narrowed down my search to the Sumitomo HTR Z III and the BFGoodrich g-Force. They're the same price at an online store, and seems like none of the sponsors are interested in a tire GP. What do you guys think I should go with?

I've heard that about all the Sumis except for the IIIs, they seem to have pretty good reviews. I'm just looking for a good street tire with decent tread life. I might make 10 passes a year on these and I know other tires hook better but these seem to be the best of the cheap.

sumi's get a bad rep from their previous tires
The new htrz III is actually a good tire. I’ve been reading reviews on other car forums and independent tire test reviews (not tire rack or discount) and everyone gives them a thumbs up
also a local guy here put a set of these in a 275/35/18 on his 400+ hp 300zx and he said they slightly spin from a dig but once you grab traction they're fine, he also couldn't break them doing 2nd gear pulls
theres a good chance ill be buying these for street use

I can't speak for BFGs, but I bought my CETA in January of last year. I still have the sumitomo HTR IIIzs on it that came with the car and they've been fine. I've put over 15,000mi. on them and they still look like they have good tread left. I don't drag or burnout much though...
