Default MT vs Hoosier

I am looking to buy two new tires for my 17x11 rims.
I am stuck between MT and Hoosier 315 35 17.
Which one will give me a better 60'.
I dont drive the car everyday and it doesn't go out in the rain.
Help me decide....

those would be the et streets, not the et street radials, that he is looking at.

And hands down. Hoosier. People who have used both will tell you Hoosier, for all out traction. The only people who says M/T are the M/t nut swingers. Hoosier uses a softer compount and has a bigger contact patch.

this is a fact....hoosiers will hook better at the track. but if you get stopped on the street with them, they do say in big letters on the sidewalls "FOR COMPETITION USE ONLY. NOT FOR HIGHWAY USE.". they are good for an instant ticket if the officer looks at your tires. MT's do not say this.

I have a set of Hoosier 315/35/17 on my camaro.

I had terrible traction problems so I put them on. From my expirence they hook really well. So well that If I didn't leave near 5K on the clutch I'd bog.

I didn't test it to much since the 10 bolt was waiting to blow up. Turned out after that trip to the track I had differential problems.

Long story short the hoosiers kick butt. Had the M/T not been sold out all over the nation I never would have tried them. Glad I did. They are good tires.

I've had both and they are comparable. If the car sees much street time I'd go with the M/T's (what I have now) since they have more of a tread pattern should you run through a puddle, get caught in the rain, or pulled over by a cop in a bad mood.

Hoosiers hook god like! But like said above, there horrible in rain and if ur using them on the street expect to be pulled over. next up is micky thompsons tires, they hook almost as good and arent as obvious for the street getting pulled over etc. Hoosiers also are more for track use, they usually don't last as long but they def. hook the best out of all the tires.
