I have read that the Nittos are small so what is the widest Nitto or Bfg or ET street MT that you can put on a 02 SS camaro with the SS 17 x 9.5 10 spokes wheels without any modifications? i have 275-40-ZR17s on it now.

Those are awesome. And i'd put money that these will hook better then the same tire in the 315/35/17 size. 20mm less, but the larger sidewall should make up for it and then some. No reason to run wheels that stick out the wheel wells now.

Might effect peoples gearing though with the 27" tire. I'm thinking of upgrading to a 3.90 instead of a 3.73 since this is the tire i'm going to run on the street...

they're amazing, the sidewall makes them hook like a 335 tire lol! i run a 3:50 gear cause im a4 and procharged
