Perfect Backspacing
What is the PERFECT backspacing and offset for a 11" wheel on the back of a camaro.
Im not talking about best of whats available, Im talking if you where building a ground up wheel, what would be the best offset on a stock 10 bolt rear and Camaro Fenders.
Also can anyone tell me the backspacing and offset of the c5 Corvette Magnesium wheels the ones made in Italy by speedline.
Thanks
All help is greatly appreciated
So Im thinking get 4 of the 17x9.5s Mag speedlines that came on the c5 vettes.
having them refinished in Bronze and have the rears widened to 17x11s and run some 315s out back and voila wheels that noone has and I love the way they look, plus they are pretty lightweight.
And tires are still cheap.
On a side note I really wish invos came in the right 17" sizes.
Looks real nice with the GW in the front too bad he went out of business just as the company starting make some nice wheels.

As for what is "PERFECT" . . . well that opinion differs from many. It would all depend on the way you like the wheel to sit in the wheel well . . . some like it to stick out a tad . . . some like it flush . . . and some like it tucked in . . .
IMHO . . 11" wheels are tough to fit.
But my mathmatical calcs, tell me the ideal offset would be around 45 mm and the backspace around 7.75" . . .

The only way to get the correct offset would be to add material to the outside lip of the wheel, which no company will do.
