How do I fix a corroded alloys rim bead? I bought a set of chrome alloy rims that are in great condition but the inner rim beads are corroded pretty badly.
I stripped off the corrosion with a wire wheel that attaches to a drill and got it all off but now the beads are very uneven. I probably got a little too aggressive with the wire wheel and took off a little too much metal.
So, would it be ok to paint the beads and mount the tires, or do I have to fill and sand the beads with some type of metal filler? Or am I screwed?

not sure how bad yours are but usually when I get a flat repair in at work that is leaking from the bead corrosion we just grind the corrosion off with a die grinder and use bead sealer on the wheel. 9 times out of 10 it holds.
