Default What drag radial for 18" diameter 9.0" wide rim?

Hey I'm looking for a drag radial to fit these rims. It would be nice if they were a little wider but they aren't. There is only one MT ET Street size that I have found that may work and it is a 305/35. Nitto has several sizes in 285 and 305 width with sidewalls from 35 to 45. What would fit on there?

What about running a 305 on a 9 inch rim? Yay or nay? Who has run this and what type of rim and tire?

As far as fitment on the vehicle I know folks run 315s (on wider rims) out back but what is the overall diameter of those tires? I've already done the BFH mod and can adjust the rear side to side and front to back to help with clearance.

I'd stick with a 285. A 305 would be too wide for a 9" rim. I even noticed on Nitto's website, that their 305/35/18 is wider than their 315/35/17. And people frown on putting the 315/35 on a 17x9 rim.

Yes, I see, that is strange for the same brand of tire isn't it? I thought only the sidewall ratio changed and the width stayed fixed?

I am looking at 285/40/18 which is 26.89 inches tall. Could I possibly have fitment issues on the car? I have 285/35/18 right now but they're GS-D3s.

I found the 285/40/18 Nitto 555R for 200 bucks a tire plus 20 shipping so I may go with those.

Or, I could get a 275/40/17 for about 150 bucks local and just run those on my 17 inch WS6 wheels but I would have to take off my Cragars and go run around mismatched when I go to the track. What do you all think?
