Default which would should be gone with?

i'll be doing my h/c swap next month finally lol and since i don't want to just sit there and spin the tires as right now i'm on street tires should i just go with dr's? the current mileage is 148K and i'm pretty sure sittin there spinning is worse than hooking, even though i wont be racin much but if i go to pass someone i don't want to just spin tires and possibly **** something up. or am i wrong in the way i'm thinking someone please help me with your knowledge!!!

if your on the 10 bolt...DR's and launching don't mix, otherwise you should be fine. I wouldn't neccessarily say you NEED DR's though, there are a few street tires that should hook if your just trying to pass somebody. The best compromise would be Nitto DR's, they have a very decent tread life and will still hook when you need em to.

Yout rev limiter should prevent you from spinning too fast and ******* something up. If you want to hook better, Drag radials will be good. Generally, look at the tread wear rating on the side of the tire, the lower the number usually means the softer the tread (Better they hook). It also means they wear faster.

rev limiter was reset to 6500 and with my current tires i spin if i punched it all the way from anywhere below 35mph . . . and that's with my current mods so with 60-70 more hp it'll be worse

You really don't need drag radials unless you're drag racing.

Your less likely to spin with a drag radial than a street tire.

Nitto Drag Radials, with 25-30 PSI on the street. They are not a great DRAG tire, but a very useful street tire on a powerful car. They will still spin on a stout car, or one with more rear gear. If you want them real sticky for a good hook-up/holeshot, they require a fairly long burnout/brake-stand (and much less PSI).
