Default 335/35/17 need a 12 inch wheel?

I am gonna put a set of Billet Specialties streetlites on my car. 17x9.5 front with a 275/40/17, rears will be a 17x11 with 5 inches of backspacing and a 335/35/17 drag radial. The car is minitubbed with a narrowed rear(6 inches total).

The pics I have seen of the 335 the tire appears to be pooched or bulged on a 11 inch rim. Does it need a 12 inch rim? Seems as though I saw on the M&H website thats what it was supposed to have.

I have some on a set of 17x11's and it doesn't bulge to much. I mean they aren't like a 275 on a 9.5 in rim. I think it looks good in my opinion. I think that's is the biggest i would on that rim.

yes a 12" rim is best for that size, i will say that M&H tires run narrow so if they make that size you could pull it off, but most brands 335s will be best and safe on a 12" wheel, others will argue but again you take that risk with the tire bulge
