Talking Pulled the trigger (11" zr1)

Well, as USUAL, I needed one thing so I'm using it as an excuse to buy the intire "system". In this case, I need tires, so what did I do? Bought brand new rims to go with them of course! 17x9.5 / 17x11 zr1s are on the way!

Question, car isnt lowered, has moser 9" rear. What size tires would yall recommend? Also, none of that low profile BS. I like to have a huge tire with a little bit of buldge (within safty limits of course) expecually to protect the new rims!

And as always, I'll post pics ASAP

For the front i would say a 275 or maybe 285 if you can fit that up front without any rubbing issues.

he doesn't want a low-pro so he will have to look and see what kinda ratio he can get with the 315s. something like a 315/55-17 that will give you more sidewall.

idk if they make any tires that size so i'd suggest to call discount or tirerack and see what they offer that is wide and tall

275/40R17s upfront and a 315/35R17 outback. You could try a 335/35R17 but that is pushing the limit on how much tire you can tuck and how much banging you want to do.

What kind of zr1's did you buy?

I picked these up for $600 thanks RsSean

275/40-17 and 315/35-17 is the norm.

When the time comes to need new tires I'm going to run the 335/35-17 Khumo Ecsta XS.

THELSGUN: Those are the exact rims I bought. The new style zr1 with lip in the back.

Ya, I'm thinking 315s for the back. No reason to go any wider, that should offer plenty of traction, EXPECUALLY above my stock 255s. I prolly will go with the 35 sidewall....Im thinking I might just be able to fit the 55 considering my car is stock highth and I dont plan on lowering it at all. If I have to I guess I could roll the fenders....

Another thing Im worried about....this whole bumpstop issue....

Don't worry about the bumpstop, just jack the car up by the rearend and they shouldn't hit. Mine had TONS of cleareance.

You'll be fine.

If you haven't already, I would suggest getting and adj. panhard rod to help center the rear under the car. Will make it easy on you considering you may not have to bang the fender wells. Not a must but will definitely help.

Lookin good, now for tires, I just went with the Nitto NT05's on my ZR1's, 315s in the rear, 275s up front, lowered a tad, corners like a biotch!
May I recommend getting some Gorilla locking lugs, the stock lugs are a little fatty and you will scrape up the lug hole mounting and unmounting them over time. The Gorilla's are skinnier, plus all require the key to remove, so guaranteed they won't just roll away in the middle of the night. I got some from Discount Tire for a set, 20 lugs, key and ID tag just in case you lose the key, $50.

How would you rate them in terms of appearance? Are they as good as they look in the pictures?
