Default 245/40/18s on a 18x8 or 18x9?

I am getting new wheels today. Moving the two front tires 245 I have on current wheels to the new wheels. Should I get 18x8 or 18x9 for the front?

Go with the 18x8s and save $$$. They'll handle just the same and look just as good. Plus, they won't "track" as bad on roads that have alot of rutts in the asphault.

18x9. Then move up to a 275 when you wear out the 245s. The 245s will fit but will look a tad stretched (I have 245/45/17s on some 17x9s for the winter).
