LOL, thanks...but the tires cost almost 2x as much as the rims

Anyway, the PS2 is a very different tire. They have a softer sidewall and a near R-compound tread. So they ride much better than my old 17" BFG's, and the traction is amazing. I have to push it extremely hard to wag the tail on a corner. The only downside is that the softer sidewalls make the car feel strangely "floaty" on the freeway.

you will get used to it, it is hands down my favorite street tire on the market, theres a reason all the high end super cars uses them as OEM

I have these same rims in staggered 8.5 and 9.5 with the machined lip and I love them. When I got them and posted pics I don't remember getting as good of a response as you. I really am tired of looking at TT2s, and knockoff vette wheels on everyones cars.

Heres mine.

Guess you're not liking the new camaro then? Unless you get the v-6, they come standard with 19s or 20s.

I'm another Michellin Pilot Sport tire owner, but they are the older style, with the heavy duty sidewall, which is probably why the car rides very stiffly.
I'm on my second set of 19" wheels. The first were HP evo's, very similar to these.

And now I have a set of Ruff 278s..

Im with you, if they were wider for the rear's. I would jump all over these wheels without thinking twice.

IMO you went with the perfect size man. Anything smaller and it looks outa place, just like that silver camaro. Great looking car, but the wheels needed to be 19's.

Nice. Those Ruff's were on my shortlist too Although it's a stretch, I ended up chosing the classic mesh style because they reminded me of the 70's T/A honeycomb wheels. I think they work well with the curves of the F-Bodies. I have seen them on other cars (e.g. BMWs) where they didn't look right.

As for the Michelins, I also have the Pilot Sports on a different car (aka PS1). I havent decided which i like better....they are very different tires for sure.

I'm more of an OG than an OP, lol.

With a stock Lexus at 10, the ride with stock 17" and BFG KDW was a 5. With the new setup the ride is much less harsh, about a 7.....and there is 1" less rubber!

You can google RPM 505 wheels and select the 3rd company that shows up.

Ha, it's because u didnt have sweet center caps! I actually like your wheel finish better, but when I went to buy mine, the polished lip wasn't available.

Alchemist - Did you lower your car more after the 278's??? The front looks lower than it did with the Evo's.

I didn't lower it, but did put on a set of KONI's. Also, my driveway slopes down, so it could be the angle as well.

I've thought about dropping it more as well.
