Yes Sir, here's few important info about the 96 SS :
1- First year of the return of the Camaro SS since 1971.
2- Only a total of 2410 cars were made (Well, sent to SLP for conversion).
3- Rarest of the 4th Gen. Camaro SS.
4- First SS to EVER be numbered by a plaque on the center console, no other 4th Gen is numbered that way, not sure about GMMG cars.
Info that's good to know if your a 4th gen. Camaro SS fan.

[QUOTE=2FNQUIK; is that the widest tire you can fit on the front or can you go a little wider???QUOTE]
Well, that's a good complicated question and here's why :
DEPENDS WHAT TIRE BRAND YOU USE.
However, there's an answer for ya : In my case I used 285/30/18 BFG T/A KD
which is WIDER than 305/35/18 "stupid" nittos (I say stupid because they provide false info about their actual section width when compared to BFG,GoodYear and other brands). So, you could possibly go with 295 BFG/good year/Michilen but more mods need to be done. If using nittos you could go with up to 315 in my opinion which equals 295 BFGs or so.
In my case I used a 1/4 spacer and my goal was to have the tires align perfectly with fenders when looking from the top down, both front and rear, I love how it looks.

Yeah, if you love deep dish and can't afford 3 grand, compromise for a smaller dish and get tires along with those rims for around $1800 (Depends how cheap u wanna go with tires) and ur good to go .

96 is the best year of the SS in my opinion, that is saying a lot because I own a 02 SS! The hood and styling is very sharp - great ride and enjoy.
If the wife starts complaining, just blip the throttle a few times and give her the (i can't hear you face with the squinty eyes). LOL!

Now not that I say it because I own a 96 SS, and of course to each his own, however, the 96 SS has every reason to be the most collectable 4th gen. SS and yes it looks 10 time sharper than the 98-02 (with their chrysler front end look) . I wouldn't mind owning an LS1 SS as long as I can do the 96-97 front end conversion.

What can I say powerboy? You are right. Anyone wanna trade their LT1 car for an LS1 car? LOL. Did I tell you that your wheels, rear spoiler, CME and hood are very nice?
