Difference between cast and forged billet wheels?
Difference between cast and forged billet wheels? What the difference between these 2 types of wheels? This is in reference to the Boyd Coddington Smoothies (cast wheels) and their Bitchin series (which are forged, I believe).

FORGED is lighter and much stronger!
Forged wheels are basically forced into a shape, which forces the molecules very tightly together. This makes the wheels very strong and lighter, depending on design... AND they are more expensive too! BTW, Boyd Coddington's line is awesome..the new forged line has some awesome designs. www.bcforged.comRob

I love the look of the Smoothie IIs, but you cant get them in a 11" for the 315s 
BCforged and Boyd Coddington are 2 different companies. BC is Boyd Coddington JR as the original Boyd Coddington is Dad
