What is the widest Nitto or Mt that will fit my ZO6 rims that are 9.5" wide for the rear of my 2000 Trans Am WS6. Some say 315 but will that be to wide for the rim, don't want to go back to 275 if I don't have to. Trying to be a bit realistic, if a 315 will fit I will, but don't want to pinch the tread to much.

i got a ton of miles out of my nittos, they lasted along time, cant go wrong with mts, but they dont last as half as long ,but are a way better drag racing tire in every way

So sounds like Nitto's would be a better all around street tire, including rain. But I seem to come uo with 2 different choices a NT05 and NT555 which one would be a better longer lasting tire for town and some highway. I notice the NT05 isn't much on tread but the NT555 is, what about price difference. I guess on a 285.

There sure are a lot of 315/35/17's out there that are low tread drag style tires. I live where the streets are crap and rains a bit too, so those tires offer a lot of dry traction but not in the wet at all. Hard to find a 315 all around tire.

295/45/17's. On a warm day from a roll I will hook every gear including first. They look much more narrow than the 315/35 for sure because they are 20mm more narrow and taller but they hook like crazy. They also make my ABS disable too though

I've had MT's in the past, I liked them. Thinking about switching to Hoosiers myself though.
