Deep Dish Y2k Q? 18x10.5s all around
Hey guys
I want to run some deep dish Y2Ks. I lve the wheels but I dont like staggered (diameter) setups, so I want 18s all around.
My other problem is, Id prefer to not have a 18x10.5 up front.
I found someone who will narrow the wheel for 150 a wheel, which I think I might do.
But after the initial investment of wheels and tires, I may not be able to afford the narrowing right away, so I was thinking maybe go ahead and mount the 10.5s all the way around with a 275/35 up front (probably an Invo) and 295/35s out back and run it like that until I get them narrowed.
Nitto says 10.5 is the max width reccomended for a 295/35/18 Nitto Invo, so they'll fit, but I worry about how they'll look.
I liek a stightly strectched tire, nothing to extreme but I think on a 18" wheel and up a slight inward bend to the sidewall looks best.
So Id like to see some 275s on 10.5s dont care if its on a f-body or not, I just need some pics to visaulize it
Anyone have some pics, ideas or suggestions?

Don't know what you mean about being safe- explain. It's within the recommended range. When you start going with bigger rims than 17's, the balloon style look doesn't always work, especially on a 10.5 wide front rim that already comes out to the fender edge. I do agree that a 285 would work fine though. I also found from past experience on some cars, that having tires that are too wide on the front can make for shitty steering but it does also depend on the tread design and sidewall firmness and height. Should look better all around once it's lowered, sittin like a damn 4x4 right now.

I agree with you that a wide tire up front will make a car wander. That's the reason I'm not running a 315 up front. It would look like I'm a drunk driver, because the car would wander all over the place.
I'll attempt picture today. I'll only have front pictures. As I'm doing a few things to the rear suspension on my car.

A 275 is not in the recommended size range for a 10.5" wheel. It ranges from 285-315. The largest sized wheel you want a 275 on is a 10" wheel.

Here ya go guys.
18x10.5" all around. I just finished the front, and will finish the rear later this week. But you can see how well the 10.5" wheels fit in the front.
The rears.
