Default Same ol' wheel fitment and decision thread

I know there's a lot of these threads out there but to aggrevate some more...

Vehcile is an 02 Z28.
I have 18x9.5 Z06 x4 with 245/40/18 on it now, I'm looking to go with a black wheel with a chrome lip and a deeper dish, like a TTM!

Do they make a TTM in an 18?
I'm aiming for a better stance in the long run so koni's and springs are next. But in conjunction I want to get a wheel/tire that will work with the suspension I'll be throwing at it.

I really don't care to cut out bump stops. BFH! and rolling fenders are not the highest on my list but will do them if I have no choice. I tried an 18x10.5 w/a295/35/18 and hit the bump stop and it's perch while letting the car down.

Any input, suggestions, and opinions are highly welcome!

I guess it all depends on your budget. Our sponsor O.E. Wheels sells a lot of different choises.

TTM's . . only come in 17" diamters that fit the F-Car.

TT2's . . . can be custom ordered in 18" diameters, but the centers would have to be custom painted.

As for mods to fit a 10.5" wide wheel? That is all related to the offset of the wheel and overall width of the tire.

I really like the TTM's but from all the pics I have seen of others whith TTM's and a decent size tire still have the wheel well gap(gap between tire and outer fender). The sets of 18's I've had with a decent tire size has filled that gap a good bit.

I assume lowering springs will change this but can only go no lower than 1.25 due to STS. Also looking for the best bad *** stance I can get without doing the fender roll or BFH but will if I have to to get a fitment!

Plus most of the issues I have had on an 18x10.5(58mm) is the bump stop and it's perch which I don't car to get rid of.

yep i got the 18x10.5 c5 deep dish and 17x9.5s and in the back i didnt have to do any modding whatsoever to make them fit besides making the inside of the wheel a little wider to fit over the lt1 hub deal in the rear....but ls1 cars and 97's i think dont have to do that... i also went with a little skinnier tire than most people do, but i think they look fine (285/35/18)...
but i would highly recommend dealing with oe wheels... its a great company and they are awesome to deal with
