Try your local "warehouse" club store. I got a set of BFG all seasons for my HHR installed for under $500. I have bought a lot from Tire Rack and their prices are great, but finding a reputable installer in my neck of the woods is hit and miss. My warehouse club was $15 a tire Mount/Balance/disposal/etc..

I just bought General Altimax HP tires (P225/50R - 16) for my 04 Grand Am from Tire Rack for a total price of $407 shipped. Walmart will mount and balance them for about $50. These tires ranked 2nd in the class of all season tires -- below is a link for a description:

Check out the new goodyear eagle gt. They're priced pretty fair and perform great for all seasons.they look cool too, haha. We put them on some of our local police dept's unmarked cars last fall and they love them. I actually just installed a set on a z4 last week. If they came in a 275 I'd have a set on my car. They have great reviews on them over at tire rack too.
