as the title says i am trying to find tire sizes for 18x8.5 in the front and 18x 9.5 rim in the back. Some people say a 275 35 18 would work in the front but nitto web site says it wont work on a 8.5 rim only 9.0 and up. Same for the back rim nitto's web site says a 285 35 18 works but not a 295 like i have been told. Just trying to find tire sizes before i order new rims for my ss

245/40R18 front.

275/35R18 rear.

Those are your best bet, they will match OEM overall tire diameters.

245-255 is more like what you can reasonably run on an 8.5 width wheel and likewise 275 is the right width for a 9.5 with 285 being reasonable. People can cram all sorts of tires onto a certain wheel but that doesn't mean it is recommended.

Go with the tire charts.

thanks guys, its hard to find a drag tire for the rear. Just seeing if the 285 would work for the extra width.

A 285/35R18 would work too. It's a tad bit taller than stock, and would recommend a speedo recalibration.
