I just noticed and am pretty excited they make them in normal sizes for the front. It'll be nice to have a non skinny set of fronts to drive around on.

Edit: Are there other backspaces available than what is listed?

What do you mean? 15x3.5 and 15x4 are normal front sizes. Anything bigger is NOT normal sizing, and will probably look pretty

I spoke with Jim today and he said that they are going to make a 15x3 3/4" front and a 15x5 for those who want more tire on the front...Those sizes are supposed to fit without grinding the brakes...Then there will be the 15x10s in 6.5 back space and 7.5 backspacings which will also clear both LS and LT brakes...The issue is, as it was in the past, being that the shipping date keeps getting pushed around...Jim has been in direct contact with the new owners and has been assured that the wheels are actually going to happen this time....Just hope they are shipped soon...Jim has ordered 250 wheels and is waiting as anxiously as we are...

this is is what i have been told. He said hopefully it will not get pushed again and they should began shipping them by early October. As far as the grinding he is being told that they will clear. As far as the original greg welds, there required a lot of grinding. Being made for the mustangs and they still had to grind their breaks. The wheel was a good design just not thought out when it cam to the break situation.

Better tell everyone on any front wheel other than a skinny they are driving a mullet mobile. Some of us like to actually drive our cars. We have these things called air conditioning, windshield wipers, radios... I want a matching set of front wheels in a normal size that I can drive around on, not having it look like a poor redneck on unmatching wheels, and then put on a set of skinnies when I go to the track.

I have matching wheels. I have 15x10 Weldstars and 15x4s. And I also have 17x4 alumastars for the track. When I drive 30 minutes to the track getting 18mpg, I'm usually adjusting my dual power leather seats, with the A/C on, while I'm flipping through my 10 disc CD changer.

If poor rednecks have a matching set of 1,200 dollar wheels, and another set of 1,000 dollar fronts, consider me as redneck as they come.

I think you are continually misreading what I am typing. I am not talking about only driving to the track or up the street to Sonic. I am talking about cruising around daily. Having obstacles like crappy roads, having to slam on the brakes, retarded other drivers, curcy roads, rain (I see you didn't comment on wipers), snow, etc... A 15x3.5 is not a cruising wheel regardless of what you or anyone else says.

Sorry, but I'm calling BS on your 18mpg with a 28 inch tire, 4.11 gears, 5200 stall, and th350 unless you are going 45 on the whole way. 70mph puts you at 3591 rpms.

Again....

Matching wheels = good
Mismatched wheels = poor redneck

i like the looks of the skinnies and the fatties in the rear. My car doesn't get that much road time anyways. Hell it hasn't been on the road since may of last year.

Yes. Greg Weld IS infact out of business, the wheels design will continue on by another company (Race Star Industries.) Information can be found in the following thread.

A moderator should probably close this thread, seeing that Greg Weld is out of business.

still none yet as far as them being shipped out. Like Camaro396 said the company producing them now is call Race Star and they do and have LS1 specific clearance for the brake calipers as well as having the correct back spacing for the 15x10's.
