Default Race Star Industries (Greg Weld Wheels)

http://www.racestarindustries.com/

Greg Weld wheels is no more. So you won't ever get a "Greg Weld" wheel again. Well if you happen to be after one, you are in luck. RSI has bought the design and molds for the Greg Weld wheels.

They have redesigned the front of the wheel slightly, most wont even notice the changes. But more importantly, the rear of the wheel has been reshaped to FIT over stock LS1 brakes.

I have personally had these wheels installed on stock brakes.

Look for them to come out in the next couple months. They will not be sold at summit/jegs. Instead check with ls1tech sponsors first. If not, your local mom/pa wheel store will be your choice.

I'm sure you will have questions, so ask away!

Please refer to the wheels as Race Star's and not Greg Welds.

Thats great news. Looks like they're planning to scrape a lil gravy off the top though compared to what basically the same wheel cost from Greg Weld. Guess they gotta cover the cost of the remold/development to get the rear wheel correct somewhere. Still cheaper than the standard prostar and they fit, so thats a big plus.

I don't know what changes they made, but they sure look WAY better than the old "Greg Welds" to me!

I may look at getting my Fiances dad to become a dealer. That price is a little high but maybe at cost it will be better! LOL

Just got off the phone with them:

1. Wheels are going to be drilled in a 5x4.75, 5x4.5, AND 5x5. So all you have to do is change out washer to run them on a Mustang, F body, or Impala.

2. They are expecting a shipment the 3rd week in November.

3. Both guys who opened the business worked directly with Greg Weld. They knew the problems the wheels had with fitiment issues and planned on fixing them until the passing of Greg.

4. They have since fixed all the problems and the wheels will be a direct bolt on application.

If they make a 5-->5.5 rear BS in a 12 inch wide wheel I will be ordering a set as soon as they come available.

Hopefully, this doesn't turn into another repeat of the other 5 or so threads about these wheels coming out we've all seen.
