I have a 6-speed with stock gears 3.42. I really don't know what I have to take into consideration. My question is wiil this tire fit without any modifications to my wheel well. My Z 28 is not lowered. I currently run 26x11.5 Et Streets on my 15x8.5 Convo Pros. Will this tire hinder my 1320 times at all? Reason I ask is because I can get a great deal on a set of brand new 28" Et Street.
Thanks
Gilbert

well Gil,
first of all, if you need a 28" tall tire on a 3.42 geared 6 speed car, is going to slow you down.
unless your turning 140+ in the quarter, you'll want to step the gear ratio up to at least a 4.10 even then w/28's you're still good to trap up to 130+ MPH and thats crossing the traps at 6500 rpm.
now about that good deal on the 28's...

Thanks for the tip Vince I sent you a pm on those 28" tires they would look pretty damn good mounted on those Convo Pros. Set of used Convo Pros and brand new Et streets and Pep boy tires for about $775 isn't too shabby

Gil,
im glad i finally got ahold of you. i'm very interested in the convos man, i had to register on the other forum so it could be a while before i can get on there. im pretty sure i'd like to pick them up from you if you're still selling them.

hey whats up, i have a 99 SS and a 87 S-10 and i am running 28" tall tires on both of them, i drive the s-10 on the street all the time ( 28x10.5x15 street et's with 373 gears) the camaro i drive a lot too ( same tires but 4:11 gears) when you are just crusin around they are cool and when you want to race someone that gets you a jump
