Can you drive with dry rot?
Hey guys, I just got some used rims and tires and I knew one of the tires was dry rotted, but I thought I would be able to get a new tire right when they came in, but I can't right away. I was just wandering if its ok to drive with dry rot on one tire?

I'm sure you can, but I don't see anyone advising it. Not worth the risk of totaling your car/self or others if you get a blow-out. I have never bought used tires but I know more than a few people on here that find good deals on used tires on Ebay.

i cant find the tire on any tire sites because I was trying to find how much they run. Its a Pirelli SuperSport P7000 tire if any of you could find a price on it, its for an 18'' inch rim.

I don't know what size you need but I just did a google search and clicked the Ebay link that came up, and found 275/40/17 used for 46.50 buy it now. Non sponsor link, Give it a try!
