Default new 17x9.5's

I just got some zr1's and I was wondering if I needed any kind of spacer or anything to make them fit properly? What offset do these wheels have? They are GM not replicas, Also will I need to recalibrate my speedo if I put on 275/40/17's or 275/45/17s? thanks

275/40ZR17 will give you the OEM diameter for a Z28.

Being true GM wheels they are either 56 mm or 38 mm offset. A 56 mm wheel will fit just fine in the wheel well, almost like OEM, the 38 mm will fit just fine too, but will push the wheel outwards and fill the wheel well.

The wheels appear to be balanced so I should be ok with that, but do I need a realignment? What if I will be switching out wheels to race (16x8's for autox), will this affect alignment at all, assuming I get an aggressive alignment done with the 16x8's on?

Changing wheels has little or no effect on the alignment. Auto cross, well that is another story. Alignments for street do not alway work for the track.
