I am looking into something to run around on the street with and with my rear narrowed 2" on each side what kind of offsets would bmw wheels need to fit correctly? I see some with 20mm front and 25mm rears? this **** gets pretty confusing. I am looking at 18" or 19" wheels. Front is stock

ok little lost here looking at different charts and trying to figure out the math but i want to order tt2 and wanna be 100% sure before placing an order also i wanna have the max depth possible of lip showing so for the front i should order the 17x9.5 with a 7 inch backspace witch would make it have a 38mm offset right? giving me a lip of a bout 2.5 inches and for the rear 17x11 at 7.75 backspace it would make it have a 45mm offset ? allowing for 3.25 inches of lip

a little help please
I want to run a 20x10 in the rear and a 19x9 in the front. I want the max lip I can get on the fatory length rear. Do you know what backspace and offset I need to achieve this is. And would it be the same for a 20x9 front?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

I think i will be going with these?
http://www.oewheelsllc.com/Wheels_3/...4/C6-Z06_11are
are they close to the stock fit? for my lowered ws6 02 trans am
I dont want any rubbing issues.
and what is the advantage of going with a larger rim and a smaller tire? I see a lot of people doing it
thanks

trying to avoid the BFH mod for my new wheels and shoes
I have a set of Fikse Profil FM10s ordered and almost ready for shipping; Front 18x9.5" 38 mm offset 6.625BS
Rears are 18x11" 44 mm offset 7.625 BS on my 98' WS6.
I have Ground Control coil over system front and back and Koni Sport DA Front and SA in rear.
Trans Am has numerous aftermarket suspension pieces; UMI off Transmission adj. Torque Arm, UMI double adj. pan hard rod, UMI double adj. rear control Arms. SLP 3 pt. weld SFC and SLP Drive shaft loop. Strano sway bars, Edelrbrock relocation brackets.
Really want Michelin Pilot Sport 2's 275/35ZR/18 in Front and 315/30ZR/18 in rear but I don't want to modify to much on the car such as fender roll or BFH mod. Want to minimize any body work as much as possible. By going with Michelin Pilot S2's in rear 295/35ZR/18 will I avoid or minimize the BFH mods?
Thanks in advance.

You say an ET20 18x9.5 won't fit. But I read earlier that a 10.5 wide rim on a ET38 would.
This seems to suggest they would be within 5mm of each other in relation to where the wheel edge is in regard to the wheelarch.

Am I missing something, would the 10.5's with 38ET really be that close to sticking out too?
How much less room is there at the front in this regard? Sadly I have very limited wheel and off set choices.

I didn't want to start a new thread so I figured I would post this here. I am going to be getting these wheels
http://www.oewheelsllc.com/Wheels_3/...2#.UwT7mGJdV8E
Front is a 17x9.5 with 54mm offset and I'll be running a 275/40 17 tire on those rims
Rear is a 18x10.5 with 56mm offset and I'll be running a 315/35 18 tire on those rims
I will be lowered on Koni's and BMR springs as well. I plan on having to roll the fenders and BFH the wheel wells. Possibly grinding the bump stop if needed. I am also thinking I will need wheel adapters. I was thinking 1" for the fronts to make them flush and 1.25" for the rear. Am I right with the size of the adapters? Thanks.

Hey guys, I was looking at some bmw wheels to put on my '06 gto. The wheels I'm looking at measure as follows: Fronts 18x8.0 +38mm offset, Rears 18x9.0 +43mm offset. Would these fit? Thanks.
