What sort of brake clearance do 17" Billet Specialties have?
I am considering listing my TrueForged wheels for sale for a set of Billet Specialties 17x9/17x11 so that I have better clearance for brakes but I am not sure what sort of clearance the Billet Specialties wheels would have for larger than stock brakes. Maybe something like c5z06 brakes or CTSv brakes?

I know someone who runs a set of those wheels. If you want, email me at john@motorsports-media.com and I'll ask him how much brake clearance he has.

17" BS UL rims may interfere with C5 brake calipers (C5 are same as Z06 AFAIK). The outer caliper cooling fins can be ground down ~ 1/8" to clear barrel. I used a 1/8" spacer to clear spokes. Alternatively the caliper (corvette insignia) could be faced 1/8" or the pads could be faced 1/16 each to clear, but this would look ugly. This was on a 17x11 rim, but its likely the same issue with 17x9.
Its not a big deal, and the spacer is only needed when the pads are new.
