Yeah I'm going to see what I can pull with my bonuses. All in all the whole package with tires is prob., going to run me in the range of $6200. I just hope I can run them safely on my 9".

That's close to what I paid for my car.

They are awesome though.

If you are shopping around for those type of wheels, chances are you can afford to waste the money.

We all waste money, if you really want to be technical!
IMO if you want it, and can afford it, buy it!

Yes, but most don't waste 6,000$ on rims... I wasted money on my rims... But I knocked one of the "0" off.. 600$.

How is the money wasted? I went from TT2s to my TrueForged wheels and the quality difference is night and day. In this hobby, if one part is a waste of money, then quite technically all of the parts are a waste of money.

Yeah that is true if you look at it that way. Along with my $13k in motor and upgrades, and an extra $2500 in the rear end and the $8k in the turbo kit and the $3k in fuel upgrades, etc.. The list can go on and on. It's all relative.

That was the point of my post, it is all wasting money.. I decided to waste 600$ on a set of rims I love and not everyone has instead of spending 6,000$ on a set of rims. Gives me much more money to waste in many more places.. Hell, thats a built big CI. motor.

That is very true. A few friends of mine like to talk **** because I went with bigger than stock wheels instead of spending the money on drag wheels. To my knowledge, as of right now there's not another set of wheels exactly like mine anywhere. So the exclusiveness is well worth it. Of course I don't have anywhere near $6200 in my wheels and tires.. I would probably feel ill if I spent that much then hit a pot hole or something..

Expense for wheels is a personal decision. Honestly, if you're on here, chances are you're not going to be buying a set of $5000 wheels, but if you do, then just do it for yourself.

I had this debate when I had sold my HP evos and was looking at another set of wheels. I was going back and forth between a set of CCW 505a's and the Ruff 278s. I ended up going with the Ruff 278s and a 4-post lift in the garage for what a set of CCW's would have cost me. Sure, the Ruff's don't carry the big name, or bling of a CCW, but I'm happy with how the car looks when I walk away from it or see it in the garage.

Wheels are no different than watches. Is a $5000 Rolex or Tag that much better than a $500 Citizen or Seiko, maybe, to the right person.

Thats exactly why they dont post anything on this site. Since theres nothing but a bunch of cheap *** people knocking their product. Instead everyone here wants replica wheels... 6k is a lot for wheels but then again not very many people would have them. its just like buying HRE or DPEs not very many people in the Fbody crowd have them.

So you get your moneys worth. Id get them if i had a black G35

It's all about target audience. I don't think anyone is knocking the wheels, and I'm sure they are really really nice for $1300 each, but I can't see justifying putting them on a vehicle that is a daily driver or isn't a show car.

Now if I had a nice AMG series Merc or M-series BMW or a new c6 or viper, than I'd be looking at a set of $4k plus wheels and tires.

Cheap *** people? Have you visited the "how much is in your car" thread lately? Dropping 4,000$ on a bottom end and 2,500$ on heads 1,500$ on an intake, 1,000$ on nitrous kit, 2,000$ on rear end... ETC ETC ETC.. Cheap *** people? Or spend their money on other places of the car instead of a set of rims. I have RPM 505s which I got for 1,200$ shipped to my door WITH tires mounted and balanced.. Ready to bolt up and go. Not many people have them, they look TONS better than any OEM or knock off rim, deep dish, etc etc etc....

Im sure they look great. Lots of people spend a **** load of money on their motors but go cheap on everything else.

yes sir you read it right "cheap *** people". have you visited the FS section on this site. The vechicle classified sections is ridiculous in what people are commenting on what they think a vehicle is worth.

I guess everyone has their point on whats affordable or not. I just dont see anyone in the motor section going. DO they have a replica place that sells motors too...
