At least no one on here is putting $10,000 in spinners on a Caprice IMHO, I would spend the extra couple hundred bucks over the wheels in the original post for some HREs...tough to beat in looks and awesome quality.

yes sir you read it right "cheap *** people". have you visited the FS section on this site. The vechicle classified sections is ridiculous in what people are commenting on what they think a vehicle is worth.

I guess everyone has their point on whats affordable or not. I just dont see anyone in the motor section going. DO they have a replica place that sells motors too...
Most people on here that are serious have much more money invested in their cars than most people.. A solid 10 second reliable car can run you 20k, on top of what you paid for it. Regardless of what you paid for it, what else gear head group do you know that spends that much on their cars? Mustang........ And thats all I can really think of, they are here and there but not in mass quantities. Guess we just look at it differently? I just don't consider dropping 5k on a short block, 2k on heads, 1500 intake, etc etc "cheap".

Cheap *** people? Maybe there are some but not I. I just chose to spend my money wisely. I bought our $650K house when I was 26 y/o with 25% down. And guess what, it's actually worth more now.

My point is, we all make a choice of where our money is best spent. Could I afford to buy 3-5k wheels, yes, do I think it's worth it on my car, nope, hence why I bought $1500 rims, and a $2500 4-post lift. Does that make me a cheap ***? I don't think so.

750 on a gmmg
1300 on a exoskel
1300 on a rebuilt trans
1k on leather corbeaus
1k on a raptor hood, including paint
1.5k on a moser

and so on and so on...

But i would pimp those wheels on my TA

Wheels make a car. Go cheap you get cheap looks.
My previous car ran 20" 3 piece Symbolics.. 6k.
I got looks, people following me to gas stations, etc.. it pays to pay a lil more.
It also helped in the sale. Lightweight, unsprung weight, and strong.

Ahhh...ADV1...SEX!

Ironically enough I recently contacted ADV1 about pricing a set of wheels for my bird. Within 24 hours, I received an email back from the rep I emailed AND from the LS1tech rep, our very own Tony (Nineball). Unfortunately I'm not in the position to order a set or I definitely would. I must say though that whenever I AM able to purchase another set of high dollar wheels, I'll be getting in touch with Tony, he can get great prices on a LOT of brands that I never knew of.
